We’re lovers of all things local! If you’re stopping by, here’s a little list of our favourite local producers and artisans.
Decide’r your favourite Somerset cider
You can see the iconic tree on Burrow Hill from our Smokery, under which lies the unparalleled Somerset Cider Brandy Company‘s distillery. Stop by for a tour, cider tasting session or walk through their glorious orchards. There’s also Perry’s Cider and Sheppy’s Cider farm nearby.
Discover Somerset’s artists & makers
Delve into Somerset’s history at the Willow & Wetlands Centre, or explore their willow sculpture trails. Try blowing glass at Shakespeare Glass in Langport or explore Muchelney Pottery, home to the world-famous potter John Leach.
Explore the Somerset Levels
Our Smokery is right next to the River Parrett trail, which meanders its way through the Somerset levels. You can walk, bike or even canoe you’re way through the picturesque scenery. Be sure to visit us for a picnic or smoked goodies on your travels.
Head to the nearby village of Barrington
Barrington is a beautiful village with gorgeous walks, including around Barrington Court (a magnificent National Trust house and gardens). You can also discover how to “throw a pot” at Barrington Pottery or feast in flavour at The Barrington Boar.
