Birthday celebrations & Father’s Day Hampers

Good afternoon from a jolly chilly Somerset. I apologise for the lateness of this missive but even by Pattisson Towers standards the amount of hours available this morning were not even close to being enough to ensure everything got done!  It’s been a very busy weekend with my goddaughters 30th birthday lunch followed by cream tea celebration.  A wonderful wedding knees up in the evening and a cricket match for Bertie this morning all mixed in with a reasonable amount of bacon and salmon smoking!

 

However we are now all back at HQ with Mrs P cooking what smells like the most heavenly, late lunch which we are feasting on in the next hour.

 

It was a wonderfully busy week at The Smoke and also a jolly, jolly warm one as the mercury kept rising daily.  We are all delighted that Amber returns tomorrow morning after a while away.  However, six weeks of me sitting at her desk and my ability to turn a telephone receiver wire into a knot of unimaginable proportions coupled with my remarkable skill of creating a horrendous mess wherever I sit meant that Tim decided to take matters into his own hands and utterly blitz the office ready for her return as he simply did not believe that I would do it properly before she arrived tomorrow morning and that I had clearly forgotten how incredibly scary she can be, in her absence and that he feared for my personal well being if it wasn’t done properly!!  She will be back on her throne and answering the phones and taking your orders from 9am tomorrow morning.  Sadly, the asparagus season is now at an end but we do have our delicious June and May Boxes still available as well as all our other goodies which we will deliver to any door of your choosing. I must away as the loons have just presented me with brilliant slightly customised Quentin Blake Father’s Day card with such promises as Relax, sit down all afternoon and maybe even rest the old eyelids for a while!
