Stan’s school fete & Free Delivery

Good morning from a much drier Somerset than we had yesterday!  In typical Pattisson fashion we spent the late morning setting up Stan’s School Fete in a monsoon and the late afternoon clearing it up in the pouring rain, by some miracle the actual event itself was relatively dry!  Stan informed us that this was not a miracle at all as he “had had a word with God”!  Mrs P was in charge of organising the event which she did brilliantly and the rest of us were set to work … Nancy, Edith and I were put in charge of ‘Children’s Activities‘ which effectively meant we were in charge of hoopla, score a goal, limbo, hook a duck, knock the cans down and lucky dip all at the same time!  Having recognised a very long time ago that multi tasking was something as foreign to me as Ancient Greek, trying to get around 40 children to do things in the right order, stop kicking footballs anywhere they liked, using the limbo bar as a sword and the plastic ducks as missiles soon became clear was a million miles away from my pathetically small skill set!  Despite my own appalling personal performance and brief removal of my sanity.  It was a huge success and Mrs P and her helpers worked a wet weather miracle and raised a superb amount of money into the bargain.

It’s been a brilliantly busy week at The Smokery too with so many folk taking advantage of our FREE DELIVERY offer.  This ends at Midnight tonight so you only have today to make use of it.  You can order whatever you like for delivery to wherever you like for delivery whenever you like, that can be Christmas or even this time next year if you so choose as long as you order before midnight you will get FREE DELIVERY on that order. Simply go online www.brownandforrest.co.uk or call Amber from 9am on Monday on 01458 250875.

I must away as Bertie has another cricket match and breakfast is yet to be taken!

I hope you have a very restful Sunday.

My very, very best regards,

Jess
