Smokery Free Delivery

Good morning from a windy and slightly chilly Somerset.  Oh how my heart bleeds for those poor soggy folk wandering around aimlessly in a field just outside Glastonbury looking for a tent that is no longer where it once was as it’s blown away and all their dry clothes and bedding with it!  And people wonder why I have absolutely no desire or even curiosity to attend the fabled festival?! Instead I shall spend the morning trying to encourage 10 year old boys to watch the ball rather than shut their eyes and try to hit every delivery into orbit as that may prevent the slight disappointment they feel when having done so they turn round to discover that where the three stumps once stood there is now a pile of kindling!  On second thoughts that festival over the hill is beginning to look a lot more appealing!

It’s been a great week at the Smokery with Amber firmly settled back in the saddle.  Tim is off for a well-deserved week of R & R and we await with interest to see what state Will returns in from the much mentioned Glastonbury on Tuesday.

I have to confess to feeling that there seems to be a slight feeling of glumness all over the place at the moment with our wonderful media constantly reminding us of how dreadful everything apparently is and how if you follow their lead we may as well raise the white flag pull up the drawbridge and simply wait for their gleefully predicted impending Armageddon!  I have to say that in general these harbingers of doom make my blood boil and to that end I have decided to hopefully lift the spirits a bit with the offer of FREE DELIVERY from today until close of play next Sunday at midnight.  This means you can order whatever you like for whenever you would like it delivered and you will pay no delivery charge at all as long as you place your orders this week.  You can of course call Amber in the office from 9am on Monday on 01458 250875 or simply order online at www.brownandforrest.co.uk

The loons are all in good order if a little weary having finished school plays and GCSE exams, if the forecast is correct for later I feel a Sunday afternoon film and a lot of biscuit eating is likely to be compulsory.

Have a lovely rest of Sunday and enjoy the Free Delivery!

My very, very best regards,

Jess
